Covid19 pushed a lot of businesses into transitioning online because they couldn’t do much physically. But most businesses have stayed that way and haven’t reverted to their old physical ways.

Why? I know some reasons.

1. Exposure

An online store puts your brand out there. You might have a potential audience of 500 to 2,000 in your physical store. An online store would give you at least a billion more. People from the other side of the earth would find your online store from an Instagram hashtag or from a google search result.

2. Availability

You have to open up and close your physical store at certain times, usually in the morning and night. With an online store, you don’t close at all. It’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, etc. People can buy from you at 2 am while you’re asleep. People from a different continent can buy from you when you’re on a vacation. Online Store makes your brand available to everyone at all times.

3. Automation

With an online store, you have access to thousands of tools. Most of these tools if used correctly, can help automate your online store. The only thing you’d have to do would be handing over the physical product. This is usually to a shipping agent that would be waiting at your doorstep with order details. How? It’s the internet. You can do great things from your bed. If you have a digital product, you can fully automate your online store because no physical contact is needed.

4. Cut Costs

You would need to pay rent, staff, maintenance, etc for your physical store. What if you had an online store? You would only need to pay for Domain, Hosting, and Maintenance which are way cheaper compared to physical storage costs.
